Probably there are some issues with “User Session Management”, the site is using open source software. Is it happening on iiPhone Safari browser ? It being more secure may keep invaliding login. Will play around with few settings over the weekend to check if it helps.

Idea was to get sufficient users with similar link as that of old forum, didn’t anticipate the negative impact on existing users.

What happened? No activity from any members? Are they aware about the new URL? There are problems while sending emails, tried to configure SMTP server. However it did not work ( even changing the mail script as per one recommendation did not help much). Though personal messages are sent out to all ...

Unfortunately the old domain is deregistered, will send mail ( had already tried using the board tool, however it did not work ) / private messages to members.

Would the old site owners allow a post that tells users to sign up here? I'm sure some of the old timers keep checking in to see if the site is up.. I think except attachment, rest of forum migration ( posts, topics, users etc) would be possible as long the forum database is not corrupt.
